This national award recognises and honours a School Library Professional who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession of school librarianship.

Through their high level of achievement in professional knowledge, practice, and engagement nominees for this award have made a positive impact on teaching and learning in their school, and contributed to the school library profession at a state, national and/or international level.

An individual may nominate themselves, or principals, professional colleagues and members of the school community are also encouraged to nominate their library staff members.

The recipient of this award will receive:

• complimentary 12 month ASLA Personal Professional Membership

• a $1,000 professional learning grant
• a trophy and certificate
